John, if you meant you want to change the subtitles font to be displayed in PS3Media server, you need to change it with this program called Aegisub, Google it.
Most likely it will save to .ass subtitle format which is better and easier to customize the font styles.

Here at home the PS3 Media Server restarts after a few minutes, especially when trying to generate the frames of 1 in 1 minute and make a leap forward in the movie. Lock and exit the program (Windows XP). On linux works correctly, but I’m having some problems with the codec … but I’ll solve it … hope …

90% of the time it could be just that the video’s encoding wasnt that good. PS3MS server picks it up and stops transcoding and hence the pause. I had bad AVI’s and MKV’s and sometimes that happen to me too. The fast forward and rewind should work (all my mkv ones does it) so I’m not too sure about that. If the audio and video goes out of sync, might be the video’s bit rate is quite high, maybe use a lower quality see if that helps!

would anyone have any idea why some MKV files will just pause a quarter or half way through the movie? the movie plays fine and then all of a sudden spontaneously pauses. fast forwarding and rewind also don’t work on these files, when i try to fast forward or rewind, the movie will simply restart itself. the audio also tends to go out of sync with the video. keep in mind that i have some MKV files that play smoothly from start to finish. thanks

Hey, managed to solved the problem. It’s actually quite silly of me. I should listen to MP3 by accessing it from the Music section on the XMB and same goes for the photos! :P

Hi Davies, I tried your advise. But it still doesn’t work. It still say “There are no titles.”

I can browse all the directories but it will only return “There are no titles”.

Definitely has something to do with your codecs settings, try using Shark007 codec pack, google it.
