Guitar-Hero-5 New Guitar

Wanna use your PS3 Guitar Hero World Tour guitar on the PC (or Guitar Hero 3)? Then this guide’s for you!

- Firstly, you’ll need to download some files!

  • JoyToKey v3.79 from Here | Mirror
  • Download the PS3 Guitar config file Here
  • You need the Gibson Les Paul PS3 guitar and the game. Duh!

- Okay, now extract the JoyToKey file and throw in the PS3 Guitar config file into the same folder where you extracted JoyToKey.
- Plug in the Guitar’s USB connector.
- Run JoyToKey and choose PS3 guitar.
- Run Guitar Hero 3/Aerosmith for the PC. (should work for Frets on Fire)
- Go to Options > Controller > Configure Keyboard and set it up this way

Green —– 1
Red —– 2
Yellow —– 3
Blue —– 4
Orange —– 5
Star Power —– 6
Whammy —– 7
Mouse Whammy —– X-Axis
Strum Up —– Button 1
Strum Down —– Button 0

- It should work!!! ROCK N’ ROLL!!

Notes

- Apparently the motion sensor does not work, when you want to do Star Power. You have to press the button. Well, World Tour’s guitar has the star power button which is easier to reach!
- Whammy works perfectly!
- Pressing “Enter” when asked to key name for High Score doesn’t seem to work either. I had to press “Backspace” on the keyboard.

Yes the Guitar will work! I have it and it works. About the drums… I’m not sure! I haven’t actually tried it LOL. I hope to try it soon when I have time. Anyone did it? Please share with us! :P

i'm using the ps3 drum + guitar with the pc version of guitar hero world tour. works great. I like to know if it will work with a second guitar.
In fact, i like to use a xbox 360 wireless guitar with it (need to find a wireless gaming receiver first). But the guitar and the drumkit have 4 leds on it, i assume to indicate which user you are. But on the instrument it always indicate that you are the first user.

ps: the instruments also seems to work under linux, but World Tour not yet.

shudn’t be the same configuration but I think it will work right off as the PC version should be using the same drums as the ps3 one, as MisterE has reported, it works. Try fiddling around with Joy2Key, if the buttons register, then it’s just setting up the buttons in Joy2key.

Hello, I am sure it will work, firstly does your computer detect the guitar, and does it register anything when you hit the keys on the guitar. If it does, then it’s a matter of configuring the Joy2Key buttons. Once you get it right, it will definitely work.
